Snitch Without Borders ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at snitchwithoutborders.com. We are an independent, non-governmental anonymous reporting platform that allows individuals to submit reports of corruption, crime, fraud, misconduct, and other wrongdoing anywhere in the world.
We are not affiliated with, funded by, or answerable to any government, law enforcement agency, intelligence service, or regulatory body. Our independence is fundamental to ensuring people can safely report government misconduct.
Our platform is built around the principle of collecting as little as possible. The following data is never collected, logged, or stored:
- Your IP address or any network identifier
- Your name, email address, or any contact information (unless voluntarily provided)
- Browser fingerprint, device type, or hardware identifiers
- Cookies that track your identity across sessions
- Location data of any kind
- Account credentials (no accounts are required or created)
- Payment information (our service is free)
We collect only what is necessary to process your report:

If you do not provide an optional contact method, we have no way of reaching you and no way of identifying you.
- Your report is reviewed by a trained human moderator within 72 hours
- Credible reports may be forwarded to law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, investigative journalists, or NGOs — depending on the nature and location of the wrongdoing
- When forwarded, your identity is never shared — only the substance of the report
- Reports that cannot be verified or acted on are filed and monitored for patterns
- We may use anonymised, aggregated statistics (e.g. "47 reports from Country X this month") to publish public transparency reports

You may request immediate deletion of your report at any time using your case number by contacting us at the address below. We will process deletion within 48 hours.
- All data transmitted between your browser and our servers uses TLS 1.3 encryption
- Reports stored at rest are encrypted using AES-256
- Access to reports requires multi-party authorisation from our moderation team
- Our servers do not run access logs that record visitor IP addresses
- We undergo regular security audits
We do not sell, rent, or trade any data. The only circumstances in which report content may be shared are:
- Action on your report: Forwarding the substance (never your identity) to the appropriate authority, regulator, journalist, or NGO
- Legal requirement: If compelled by a valid court order from a jurisdiction we are subject to. We will contest any such order to the maximum extent of the law and will attempt to notify you via your case number if legally permitted
- Preventing immediate harm: If a report indicates imminent risk of serious violence or death, we may share information with emergency services
Because we do not collect personal data in the traditional sense, most data protection rights apply in a limited way. However, you may:
- Request deletion of your report at any time using your case number
- Request a copy of your report content using your case number
- Withdraw any optional contact information you provided
Because we have no way to identify you without a case number, all requests must include it. If you have lost your case number, we cannot retrieve it — this is by design to protect your anonymity.
This platform exists to give a voice to people who witness genuine wrongdoing. By submitting a report, you confirm that you believe in good faith that the information is true.
Our moderation team is trained to identify and discard bad-faith submissions. Patterns of abuse from the same source may be reported to relevant authorities.
We use no third-party tracking cookies, no advertising pixels, no social media trackers, and no analytics services that identify individual users.
We may use a minimal session cookie strictly necessary for the secure form submission to function. This cookie does not identify you, is not shared with third parties, and expires when you close your browser.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
We will never make changes that reduce your privacy protections without prominent notice on the homepage for a minimum of 30 days.
